Hi, I’m Rachel.

A woman with light skin and long wavy blonde hair smiling, wearing a purple top and a delicate silver necklace.

Rachel Vine is a developmental editor, story coach, and former children’s librarian based in Boorloo (Perth, WA). With postgraduate study in Editing, Publishing, and Children’s Literature, she blends craft and heart to help authors of children’s, YA, and NA fiction strengthen their stories.

Through Wildflower Editorial and her podcasts Likely Stories and Books in Bloom, Rachel supports writers in shaping manuscripts that resonate with young readers and reflect their unique voice.

She believes in the quiet power of words, the wonder of a well-told tale, and guiding writers to bring their stories to full bloom.

Rachel works from a light-filled office shared with three distractingly handsome cats, a stack of half-drunk French Earl Grey teas, and an ever-growing book collection arranged in rainbow order.

Why Children’s & Youth Stories Matter

I believe every child deserves stories that spark imagination, teach empathy, and make the world feel bigger and brighter. Children’s and YA books shape how young people see themselves, others, and the possibilities of life—and now, more than ever, the world needs thoughtful, courageous storytelling.

I’m passionate about helping authors craft books that do more than entertain. Together, we can create stories that linger in readers’ hearts, foster curiosity, and inspire connection. From whimsical picture books to layered YA novels, I love nurturing stories that matter, resonate, and grow with their readers.
